Where to start?
Nov. 10th, 2002 11:29 pmToday - bad low pressure system hurting my head. But I got my hair trimmed, and we got groceries - food is good. Also picked up Volume one of Samurai X ... only cause Volume 3 of Kenshin was not available. *sniffles*
Oh well...
Saturday was the busy day. Got up and left the house by 9:03. First lesson - leave about 10 minutes earlier to get to Yorkdale next time.
akesteven was driving though and she did get stuck behind some poor slob driving 80km/hr in a 100 zone. For way too long. And then we couldn't figure out where to park. That woman is nuts in a parking lot, I tell you. Worse than a roller coaster the way she zigs and zags through around cars and through empty spots. I thought I might lose my breakfast - except I hadn't had any yet. :)
Then we got lost in the shopping mall. It was my fault - I turned the wrong way. But everyone else followed me. And well, I hadn't had my morning coffee yet! In any event, we weren't too late, by the time we met
aleriel. And then off to the ROM to see the LOTR exhibit. I'm still drooling over Orlando Bloom. Or I guess I'm drooling over him once again. He is nice looking eye candy when he's blonde with pointed ears. It was kinda cool to see stuff up close. They have some really awesome props for that movie. It was cool to see.
Okay, I really just wanted to drool over Legolas, but I wasn't the only one!
And we stopped to look at the Chinese exhibits, since there's a special gallery there, atm. Also looked at the Bat Cave (I kid you not) and the bird exhibit. Albatross are huge. Owls are neat. And well, hummingbirds are tiny.
All in all, it was neet to see the stuff from Seching ( I think that's where it was) - all copper and gold, and so very different from anything else in the area. Or that's what it seemed like, anyway. After that, back up to Yorkdale mall, and time for a quick bit of shopping before we went to Snelgrove to visit my uncle.
It was my cousin Katrina's first birthday. She's pretty cute, but she didn't much care about the gifts. The most fun she seemed to have was in chewing the cardboard tags. It was nice to visit, but we only stayed about an hour. Then we drove by Alery's, and I got to meet her brat cat. Over to my house for Kenshin volume 2. Whee. That's 8 episodes altogether watched. And then 2 games of Phase 10.
All in all, it was a fun, if busy day.
And then today, out to get hair trimmed, groceries bought, and over to the nice little shop where they sell the Kenshin dvds. but volume 3 was not there. *sniffles* Oh well, we can always try again next week. And we picked up volume 1 of Samurai X, instead.
That's on the agenda for this coming friday night, actually. Along with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Fun wow!
