Oh, and just for the record, I absolutely SUCK at cutting in straight lines, curved lines... Okay, so my artistic streak has absolutely nothing to do with drawing, glueing, cutting, tracing or ... well, I can embroider, how's that for something visual. Sheesh.
But, I absolutely SUCK at embroidery and needle work... So, it all evens out in the wash... (Hmmm... Embroidery. Draw. Dragon. Dress... Oh!)
Ky on the other hand is an artistic genius.
Ummmmm. No. Ky simply survived "The History of Visual Sources" design course from HELL in her second year of theatre studies at university.
Twenty-six weeks of studying every culture under the sun from the cavemen in the cave drawing at Lascaux, France, through all the ancient Mesopotamian societies, the oriental societies of India, China, and Japan, as well as western societies from their foundations in Greco-Roman empires, through the "dark ages" right up to 1992. Oy! It hurt, lady! It HURT!
Every week, a 5-page, hand-drawn portfolio -- whether you could draw or not. Including a collage... which is where I learned the fine art of 'eyeballing-the-last-piece-of-felt-and-cutting-it-out-right-the-first-time-or-else'...
And, see? It comes in handy one day... (They told me I'd use Vis at the strangest times...Wow.)
So, you see? Experienced. That's all.
*insert booming announcer voice here*: "Yes! You, too can be considered an artistic genius by your friends! Just take 'THEA 2160.06: The History of Visual Sources' and wow them all!!! (Available at a York University Campus near you. Some restrictions may apply.)"
