In fact, in the past 5 days, two have happened either just in front of me, or just behind me.

The first was just behind me... I was stopped. On the highway, yes, in stop and go as usual. Stopped. Completely. So was the car behind me, when some turkey rearended him. Lucky for me, he didn't get pushed forward into my bumper.

The second was several cars in front of me. I mean, I was at a red light, it turned green, forward I went, only to find myself watching as the driver of the semi about 4 cars ahead of me got out, and I realized that he'd just rearended some poor little car. Oops?

I don't like this. It feels like I'm in more danger than usual. I probably am not, but the sensation is nonetheless there.

Oh, and on the radio today they were talking about the cars that are most often stolen. My Saturn did not make the top 5. Integra - now there's a car not to drive. 21/1000 are reported stolen, compared to 7/1000 (or maybe 8) for the second place car. Jeep Wrangler, I think. (My dad's car was in the top 5 - Jeep Cherokee.)

There, that's all the news that isn't. Oh, except I'll likely be AWOL for the next week or so.

Company coming to visit, doncha know...
