I wouldn't stay with Mudservices. I certainly wouldn't jump through hoops to transfer a domain to them. Hell, I just wouldn't transfer it full stop.
Find a new host.
Does the current domain host give you (and I'm speaking to Sin here, since I know she'll get this too) access to the zone file? If it does you can set it up like I did for Century, where century.wibbble.org.uk points at Century's host.
