Actually... what I wanna know is...

If we get a virtual server up and running for our realmwalkers.com website, can we host the game on it directly and screw paying another hosting service??


Honestly, you have much more chances of hosting the website/domain name on Mudservices or whatever other MU* host. Website hosts (especially free ones) don't allow running processes that are left when the user logs off.. nevermind the fact that you need shell access, open port, blah.

Now, hosting the website on Mudservices is much more doable. Though they require you to register the domain name with specific registrar (don't ask me. I too find that annoying). You can transfer domain names between registrars, though. Can't remember if you have to pay for that though. Logic suggests that there should be a fee of some sorts.
